Whether for a quick refreshment break, après-ski or long rest with a bread snack, cheese spaetzle, casserole or sugared pancakes – top quality foods, cheese or cream cheese are all part of the Alpine cuisine on offer at the Kriegeralpe mountain restaurant in Lech, telling the story of life here in the mountains. We also serve wine with our dishes and have an exquisite selection of wines from the Burg wine cellar on offer.
Kriegeralpe mountain restaurant open in summer & winter

In summer, hikers can recharge their batteries with some delicious regional treats from the Kriegeralpe and soak up some mountain sun in a recliner outside the lodge.
Generally on Friday, we serve a magnificent mountain breakfast. And guests can also pre-order veal shank, duck or a delicious porterhouse steak.

In winter, the lodge is situated right on the ski piste (descent no. 34 Kriegerhorn-Petersboden) and is the ideal place for a break, for lunch or for some après-ski fun before tackling the valley descent to the Burg bar in Oberlech. Various winter footpaths also lead past the Kriegeralpe.

Cheese spaetzle cookery course

During the summer months BURG guests, guests from other hotels and locals are invited to attend a cheese spaetzle cookery course.
Here you can learn how to prepare the Vorarlberg speciality of ‘Käsknöpfle’ (cheese spaetzle) served with a salad and a dose of relaxed socialising at the Kriegeralpe. The cheese spaetzle are prepared according to Helga Lucian’s original recipe!
Participation/registration
The cookery course can only be offered on request and for a minimum of 10 persons and starts at 3 pm at the earliest. Registration at the reception of the Burg Hotel or directly with the Kriegeralpe (+43 664 44 22 697).

Euro 18.00 per person
The Kriegeralpe is just a 45 to 60 minute walk from Oberlech and accessible via the Petersboden Bahn cable car (and about 15 minute walk). The last journey up the mountain by cable car is at 17:00.
