Kriegeralpe: the most beautiful Alpine lodge on the Arlberg
It’s the simple things in life which count. The views of the surrounding mountains and delicious hearty and natural cuisine invite guests to stop off here for a cosy refreshment break. In winter, the lodge is ideally located for a rest right in the centre of the pistes and in summer, guests can watch as cows and horses chew on the Alpine herbs while cheese is made at the Alpine dairy.
Hospitality in summer & winter
The Kriegeralpe is part of the renowned Burg Hotel in Oberlech and welcomes guests in both summer and winter. Skiers, snowboarders, hikers and mountain bikers are treated to some local specialities at the Kriegeralpe mountain restaurant. The Alpine lodge is catered in summer and produces its own cream cheese, butter and Alpine cheese using its own milk at the Alpine dairy.
In summer, visitors can walk for approx. 45 minutes from Oberlech past the ‘gypsum holes’ and on to the Kriegeralpe. In winter, they can take descent 34 (Kriegerhorn – Petersboden) down to the Kriegeralpe for lunch, a bread snack or après ski.
