Up to the''little Burg“
The winter hiking trail from Oberlech via Tannegg up to the Kriegeralpe is perfect for beginners. The ascent is just under 3 kilometres long and leads along groomed winter hiking trails, mostly away from the ski slope. Only the last few metres up to the Kriegeralpe run parallel to the piste.
Once you arrive at the "little Burg", you can warm up by the fireplace or, on warm days, sunbathe in a deckchair in front of the hut. For refreshment, savoury dishes, a schnapps or two - or even selected wines from the Burg wine cellar - await you.
A quick run-through to get in the mood
Our friends from the building yard in Lech not only ensure that the roads are perfectly prepared. They also take the time to groom the winter hiking trail from the bus stop in Oberlech up to the Kriegeralpe.
Back on foot or by cable car
If you are too tired to walk back or simply want to enjoy your time on the Kriegeralpe for as long as possible, you can simply walk over to the Petersboden cable car mountain station, which is just a few metres below the hut.
Once you arrive at the station, you are practically at the doorstep of the Burg.
